My Projects

This page features a selection of my academic and creative projects that highlight my development as a marketing student. Each one reflects the skills I’ve built and the ideas I’ve explored throughout my time at JMU.

COB 300 Business Plan

In my COB 300 course, my team and I developed a full business plan for a product we created called Wake Winch—a portable, electric wake-boarding winch designed to make the sport more accessible anywhere, anytime. This project pushed us to think like entrepreneurs from the ground up. We conducted market research, built financial projections, designed operations strategies, and created a full marketing plan to bring the product to life. It taught me how to blend creativity with analytical thinking and gave me firsthand experience in building a business concept that was both innovative and realistic.

Social Media Plan

For Aristocat Café, I developed a full social media marketing plan aimed at increasing engagement, brand awareness, and customer loyalty. I researched their target audience, identified key content pillars, and created a strategy centered around aesthetic visuals, community-focused messaging, and consistent brand personality. The plan included monthly content calendars, influencer partnerships, and ideas for in-store and online promotions. This project helped me refine my digital marketing skills and taught me how to build a social presence that feels authentic, engaging, and on-brand.

White Oak Lavender Farm

For this project, my team partnered with White Oak Lavender Farm to create an integrated marketing communications plan tailored to their brand and audience. We analyzed their current digital presence, identified opportunities for growth, and developed a cohesive strategy that included social media, email marketing, print ads, and on-site visitor engagement. Our goal was to increase online visibility and foot traffic while staying true to the calming, nature-focused identity of the farm. This project strengthened my understanding of brand voice, storytelling, and how to create a unified message across multiple platforms.
